A Double Milestone

On 3 December 2025, the Nursery School held its graduation ceremony in the Hans Schmid Hall. The oldest children celebrated completing kindergarten and looked forward to entering first grade in January. For the first time, they would not need to move to another school—the dream of a village primary school was becoming reality.

Building a Primary School

Families repeatedly emphasised the urgent need for a local school. The public school in the next village was already overburdened, with too few classrooms and teachers. Parents expressed willingness to contribute according to their means.

Two New Classrooms

The Schmid Foundation offered long-term support for the expansion and requested a detailed plan. Registration and administrative requirements remained challenging, but several partners were helping the local team navigate the process.

A Shared Commitment

The village community intended to support the project with the long-term goal of paying the new teachers locally. The school would remain non-profit and open to every child in the village. More than 100 pupils were already enrolled, with further growth expected when first grade opened.

Every donation continues to flow directly into the school project. The progress achieved is only possible because of continued support from Switzerland and Tanzania. Asante sana.
